A Little Workshop

It all began in a messy little woodworking workshop that my partner and I were able to take over, as our own in an attempt to live a bit more like the creative madfolk we truly are. Finally, I had a space to explore resin, a material I’d been fascinated by for years before setting a foot in a workshop.

Learning the Art of Resin

I started out with small trinkets and treasures, diving headfirst into the world of resin with a whole lot of trial and error (and mess). I was dead set on a mission to figure out the secrets of pouring, sanding, and polishing, even though resin wasn’t exactly a household name around the Stockholm area, people mostly knew it as “that glue you fix boats with.” But I had an equally stubborn partner and cheerleader so this was just another obstacle to work around.

A new place to call workshop

When we eventually had to say goodbye to our little creative safe haven, I faced the challenge of making resin work in our home, which in hindsight definitely wasn’t the safest choice since resin isn’t the…most indoor-friendly hobby, but I pieced together a setup that let me keep creating without risking our health.

The First Dice Request

Then came the game-changer. A close friend wanted some custom sets and reached out to me. She believed in me and my resin obsession and invested in materials for me, then patiently waited for two full years as I got the hang of dice making. When I finally was happy with what I could create, I made the custom dice she asked me for.

A Debut of Dice

On the day I delivered those first dice, I took a leap and signed up for a market at the local game store, to show off my pride for the world. To my surprise, I sold more than I’d dared to hope for and felt completely blown away by the support and love from the community.
